The line of research I am carrying out for my undergraduate thesis focuses on studying the osmotic stress of hypersalinity on photosynthetic organisms, using benthic algae as a model to evaluate the impact of desalination plants in northern Chile on the environment. This project aims to generate green information about the potential impact of this growing industry.
