The Laboratory of Aquatic Environmental Research (LACER) at Universidad de Playa Ancha aims to study coastal ecosystems and their environmental status using a variety of tools associated with the areas of ecotoxicology and ecophysiology. We have particular interest for studying the consequences of anthropogenic activities on coastal organisms at different levels of biological organization, from community and population structure, to effects on physiological and metabolic aspects. LACER is composed by highly achieved researchers and undergraduate and postgraduate students, and counts with a wide networks of collaborators at national and international levels.
